Withdraw the application. When you have the new passport then submit a new application.

anyone please

I don't think it's matter, you can get the new passport and submit the new one when they ask.

Thank you for your replies, but the problem is he has to do his biometric and to do that you have to show them the passport you have submit the copy so now what? And it’s not allowing to submit anything once you already submitted your document.

Please please help.

thanks

It does matter. For this you would have to send the new passport and a letter of explanation of why you are sending a different passport than the one used for the application. You need to back up your saying with evidence, for example a police report for the lost passport.

thanks

When the TRV is approved CIC will ask for it.

This is a long shot.... I wouldn't take the chance, but your call.

It is clearly mentioned stolen passport in FAQ of cic web site you can also call CIC 1 888 242 2100

The applicant's passport will be required for Biometrics..... and there's a 30-days time limit for Biometrics.

Considering realistic time frames to file a police report for the lost passport + get a new passport, wouldn't it be better if he withdraws the application at this stage and applies when he gets his new passport (as Jalex23 suggested)?

No.

Withdraw and then apply again. Yes, it is a disaster to lose one's passport.
