TRV of a returning Student

Hello Altruists!

I have an extended study permit till November 2020, however, my visa expires on 31st August 2019. Now, if I GO HOME in late summer and come Back on the 30th August, would that be an issue??
I don't plan to apply for visa reissuance in between this time.

No issue if you return before it expires. You should definitely apply for a new TRV at some point in case you need to return home for any reason. It is never a good idea to be living in Canada without a valid TRV. There have been many people who had to put jobs/school/etc.on hold because they had to leave suddenly and were unable to return for months while waiting on a new TRV.

Just apply for extension now, why not? You can return as long as it is valid but there can be many surprises in life, even a flight delay could ruin everything.

Hello, I traveled to Colombia. I have my study permit until 2023. But when I wanted to return to Canada, my visa was expired. They tell me that I should request a TRV returning student but I don't know how to fill out the form. Could you help me ?
