Hello,

I am a Canadian Permanent Resident and my wife lived in Canada as well and has an active Canadian Open Work Permit. We went back to India to get married and on our way back we came to know that she did not have valid visa to enter Canada.

Last year, she submitted an application for a Temporary Resident Visa and it went all the way to the step where she had to submit her passport but she did not know that shed was supposed to send her passport for stamping.

So for her to be able to travel back to Canada, we submitted a new application for Temporary Resident Visa on the 20th of April, 2022 but haven't received any update yet. What would the processing time be for someone that has submitted an application in April and did anyone receive an update or an approval from IRCC?

Right now processing times are around 160 days. However both shorter and longer waits are possible.
