I recently applied (30/9/2013) for a TRV as my wife is a student in canada and her visa is valid till may 31 2014 ( she took a break, her visa is yet to be extended most likely till august ). I have around 16,000$ in banks. Submitted bank statements, invitation letter, landlord noc, tax files(wife), my employment reference, salary certificates, also letter of support from mother in law, and some property documents, marriage proof, pay slips of my wife, her visa, work & study permits photocopies.

I want to what are the chances I'd have, I'm so tensed as this would be my first application to any country. Thank you :)

Re: TRP Applied & Chances ?

Did you apply for a TRV (temporary resident visa) or TRP (temporary resident permit)?

No one can say what the chances are. Each case is different. People with "strong" applications have been denied and people with "weak" applications have been approved. There is no need to be stressed about something you don't have much control over. By the looks of it, you've done your best to prepare your application. Now it's up to the visa officer to decide.

I've given all the details what all I've attached in the first post of this thread, and regarding invitation letter: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/letter.asp

I've filed through y-axis, and I submitted it myself at VFS HYD.

Well it doesn't actually mean that. But I think it's a safe assumption that things are moving in the right direction.
Good luck bud. They'll ask for your passport soon hopefully.
