hi guys - looking to apply for visit visa for my brother in law for this coming summer. had a question and it would be super if someone experienced could reply to help out

Is there any advantage of applying online vs paper? i had heard that you cannot submit supporting docs if applying on paper.. is this correct?

thank you

This is the brother who is financially dependent on your mother in law?

Paper or online you can attach supporting documents. Some people say that refusals are higher online, I have seen no correlation. An online visa application could theoretically be processed faster since it will be sent to whichever visa office has the time to process it.

VFS Pakistan does not accept most of the supporting documents for paper applications.

It's best to apply online in this case

To save on courier costs to the Abu Dhabi visa office :p

Were I IRCC, I'd be concerned about a breach in natural justice if my contracted agent were denying people from supplying supporting documents... but who knows. I find VFS infuriating at best sometimes.

Agreed.

Applicants that had strong profiles ended getting refused because of this

thank you so much for your response - do all the supporting docs simply have to be scanned and uploaded? do they have to be signed or anything? or is there a special way to show credibility of all scanned document?

Combine as a single PDF file if it cannot be uploaded to a specific section.

Size cannot exceed 4 MB. Do ensure these documents are okay to read if you reduce the resolution

thanks Bryanna

couple more questions if you dont mind

- if we are submitting application online, should biometrics be completed while online application is in progress? prior to? or after submission of online application?
- do all the addtional supporting documents i have collected all go in "optional documents" ? we only see one "client information" option to upload file?

thanks !
