TRV about to expire while PR application under process inland

My PR application is under process and my TRV about to expire soon. I heard somewhere that it is not advisable to have different applications in your CIC account. I will be very thankful if anyone can advise in this regard.

There is no issue having multiple apps. You can apply for a TRV.
