My application for PR has been approved and I've received my passport back with a visa. All I have to do is fly to Canada, land, and join my wife (=sponsor). I plan to do this in a few months (obviously before the expiry date).

The question is: can I travel to a third and unrelated country (for vacation)?

I'm 90% sure the answer is yes, but just thought i'd confirm... thanks.

(I'm a Japanese citizen, currently living in Japan and planning a weekend trip to Korea.)

Your PR visa has no bearing on your ability to travel to other countries.

Hi, thanks for your response.
sorry,, what I meant was: will traveling to a third and unrelated country somehow invalidate my visa and lead to complications when I land.
Thanks
