Travelling with eCORP

Hi there,

My husband got his eCORP last October but we are still waiting for the card and we’re planning a trip abroad in April. We were told we could fly out from the US and re-entering Canada with the eCorp but this is making us nervous. Has any of you did it and if so, was everything smooth at the borders?

What passport do you hold? Are you US citizens?

I have a canadian passport and he his a British Citizen

In that case your options are as follows:

- To fly back to Canada, he either needs to have his PR card or a PR Travel Document (which can only be obtained from outside of Canada). He cannot use his COPR to fly back to Canada.
- If he only has his COPR, then the one option you have is to re-enter Canada through a US/Canada land border crossing. Flying into Canada is not possible.
