Hi All,
I have 2 questions:
1) when my parents arrived to Canada, the officer didnt put a stamp on their passports. Should we still estimate that they have to leave after 6 months?
2) if they go to US before 6 months are up, will their stay be renewed, and can they stay for few more months?

Thank you for your help :)

1. Yes, as the IRCC website clearly states, if there is no notation in their passport, they have been admitted for six months.

2. How are they in Canada? Do they have a multi entry visa? Theoretically, yes, they can go to the US and then re enter Canada. However, CBSA officers at the border may be concerned with an attempt to "reset" their visitor status by going to the US and back to Canada, and may restrict their time allowed in Canada by stamping the passport with a date.
