Travelling outside Canada whilst PR (EE-CEC) application is in progress?

I am currently on a work permit ( with a travel visa stamped on my passport.) I have also applied for my PR and the application is being Processed now. I wanted to know if I would be able to travel outside of Canada while my PR application is being processed. And also what would happen if my application is approved whilst I am outside Canada? Would I still be able to travel back with the Valid travel visa/work permit I have with me? When do the Non-Immigrant Visas go Invalid once the PR is approved? Please Advise, Thanks

It should be possible.

Contrary to OP's belief, the non-immigrant visa will only become invalid after the PR landing is formalized (COPR is signed by CBSA or e-landing), not when the PR application is approved.
