Travelling on last day of visitors visa

Hi all,

My mother-in-law will be flying back to India from Edmonton on 15-Jan-19, which is the last day of her visitors visa.

Her flight schedule looks like

Departure: Edmonton 15-Jan-19 5:55 pm
Arrival: Toronto 15-Jan-19 11:36 pm

And now the twist unfolds. She had a long lay over and the next flight to Paris depart at 6:45 pm NEXT DAY i.e 16- Jan-19.

Is it okay or she will be considered overstayed??

A safer option would be to apply for an extension to her visitor status
