I got my COPR a few months ago, much sooner than I anticipated. It’s valid until June of 2018. I also have a Temporary Resident Visa that is valid until 2024.
I don’t plan to move to Canada until April of 2018. I also don’t want to land and turn around, because I’m not sure of the travel document process without a PR card.
My question is: can I travel to Canada on my Temporary Resident Visa until I’m ready to land as a Permanent Resident? I want to take a trip in January to visit family.
I’ve seen two discussions of Visa exempt US passport holders, but none of Temporary Resident Visa holders.
