Traveling to India; Airline choice

Hello , Planning to travel to India from Toronto in Dec.
I know Air Canada and Air India have non-stop flights to India.

Since I always prefer taking a European airline with one stop,
are any European airlines flying to India these days?

And Is a stop in Europe even advisable these days?

BA may have daily flights but you will of course need to check COVID transit guidelines for London.
