I've just received my work permit (the 3rd one since I moved to Manitoba) and it's good for 2 more years since I'm also applying for permanent residency.
I've also been notified earlier this week that I can now make an appointment with the doctor.
I really was excited when I got my work permit because untill then I was on implied status and I could not risk going to Europe without losing my status.
As it is now, I have a legal status here and I thought I could visit my family for Xmas in France and I would be able to come back here and work but I was told today that if I go to France I might lose my application for PR.
so my question is:
Am I allowed to leave Canada while applying for PR? and if so, do I risk anything when I come back?
