My husband is Canadian and we have been in Canada since August 2014.
I have a V-1 Multiple entry Visa that expires in 2023.
Just before my 6 months was to expire I applied and was granted a 1 year extension to my stay until on Feb 28th, 2016.
1 month before that expired I applied for an open work permit and my husband put in the paperwork to sponsor me for PR.
My OWP papers were returned on 28th March, 2016 because I made a mistake on them.
I applied for another 1 year extension Online a few days ago and I have fixed the error on my OWP and am remailing tomorrow 30th May, 2016.
Now I get an email that we have found a buyer for our home in Mexico. My Canadian husband and I need to travel to Mexico in July to sign the papers and expect to be away 2 to 3 weeks.
Then we want to return to Canada since my husband works and we have rented a house in Canada.
Will this be okay?
Will I be allowed to enter Canada again?
Should I buy Canada-Mexico-Canada return tickets? or should I buy one way tickets and later buy the return tickets separately?
I watch the Border Security Show on TV and am afraid of those Immigration Guards at the airports.
