Travel while Dependent Child PR application is pending

I am a PR and have been in canada for last 3 years. My sons PR application is in process and he is outside of Canada. CanI travel out of Canada while the application is in process? Anyone faced similar situation? Please share your experiences. Thanks

No issues if it's just a short trip (e.g. a few weeks). However you want to avoid anything too long that makes it look like you've moved outside of Canada or are temporarily living outside of Canada.
