Travel to U.S.A. while H1b is in processing- Need help

Hi,

I am a Canadian Citizen and I applied for H1B from Canada and it’s currently is in processing but due to personal issue, I need to travel to U.S.A. Can I travel, will it cause any delay to my H1B petition? and will there be extra scrutiny at immigration? Can some one please let me know.
