Hi Guys,

Could someone who has been thro the experience answer the following questions.

1) Ordering CBSA Travel records - how ?

2) Ordering US-CBP Travel records - how ?

3) What exactly does CBSA send you - ie. what is the information presented ? - A list of all dates the person ENTERED CANADA ? - that is all ? a simple listing of entry dates into Canada ?

4) What exactly does US-CBP send you - ie. what is the information presented ? - A list of all dates the person ENTERED CANADA ? - that is all ? a simple listing of entry dates into Canada ?

5) What is the average turn around time to hear back from CBSA and US- CBP ?

Would really appreciate insights of those who have been thro the process. And being all in one place under the Travel record heading hopefully it will benefit others too.

Many Thanks in advance for your replies.

I believe it takes about a month to receive a response... both sides should list every date you entered or exited and how you did so. ie... plane, car, boat etc... would also include any time that you were sent into immigration, was held for questioning, or denied entry. I believe they go back 5 yrs don't know if thats what they keep on a person, if you need or want all, just say in the letter you want all they have. The following links should help you... GL!

CBSA has no record of departures from Canada.

U.S. CBP has no record of departures from the U.S. that aren't by commercial carrier (air or rail).

Agreed - CBSA does not provide info on exits from Canada.

For US CBP - based on what you say -

If one requested "Traveler History", for example between 2009-2012 and someone only took airline flights. Then based on what you say, they will list the dates of BOTH entry into AND exit out of the USA ????

Yes, they should list both. However, since there's no passport control when you leave the U.S., the listing of exits from the U.S. is generally only based on info provided by the airlines.
