Travel history of expired passport not mentioned. Will the Canadian authority find such data?

I have made a trip on tourist visa in 2015 on my old passport which expired in 2016. I have not mentioned this in my travel history. Will my PR application be rejected? Should I share this information with Canadian authorities through Letter of Explanation? I have mentioned all the travels of my current passport.

The instructions are clear :
"Provide details of any trips XXXXX has taken outside his/her country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since his/her 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc."

It might be a good move to send an updated travel history that will take into account all your trips, no matter if the passport you used for those trips is now expired or not
