I need suggestion as I am preparing my file for july 2011. I read someone's post on this forum that they are including notarised photocopy of their passport pages which has travel entry and exit stamps.

Has anyone else done this?

I am a bit hesitant as I have never read this before and also i have extensive travel history so getting so many pages notarised will be very expensive.

Many thanks!

If they ask for notarised photocopies of passport pages ,please provide them accordingly regardless of the cost .

No buddy,,,,,,,,i think your read for another country this is not requirement for Canada............
your have photocopy of first two page of your current and old passports and get notarized that.

Second thing your have to fill the Travel history form that "IMM5562"
Only you have to tell the history of your last ten years visit to different counties.

If you view the form then you will more understand the requirements and how to fill the form.........

Do not hesitate to ask more question...........from me.......

Dear,

I think he is preparing new file for July 2011...........visa office did not ask him for photocopies where as i understand from his post.........

Thanks awai ali!

I filled all the forms last year including the IMM5562. I had to do a seperate sheet as mine is so long.

I dont think they have asked to provide evidence to support this information but because i read someone doing this for canada, I just got paranoid.

I have got the notarised copy of passport biodata page, address and current visa page which is what they have asked for.

So I guess I am good and no need to do these additional pages.

Lawyer charges fee and increase the work so Client must satisfy

Hi Rod,

Did you notarise all these pages?

Thanks

Do nt Panic, all pages are not required.........

I respect your opinion and in my case I chose to use a lawyer because I am in a long distance relationship which makes my application somewhat more complicated. I beleive it depends on the client to do the right reasearch on their lawyer to avoid those crooks that are out there. I can guarantee you I did my portion of work and that I have the right attorney for my case.

Nope. My attorney included a cover to the passport package that said the attached copy is an exact duplicate of the original and only this page was notarized. I beleive he might have stapled the copy (I am not sure though since I didn't see the package, just a scan)

Do you know if your lawyer notarised all the pages from passport?

Thanks Rod.

I think I will include the copies with stamps but not notarise them. I have already notarised copies for the required biodata page etc.

I have another query regarding reference letters.

My current employment, I am getting a new reference letter. But for the previous two jobs - do i need new reference letters for them?

I got a reference letter for Canada imm from my last job last year - can I use this?

The job before this was in India and the company is now closed. However, I have all the letters and contracts etc. The reference letter is dated 2002. Will this work?

Thanks

Yes it should.
