Hi All,

Can somebody confirm if we need transit visa, if Indian national travelling to Toronto in British airways ? Please let us know if anybody travelling between 15th and 20th December to Toronto from Hyderabad to help my In-laws as companion. All they need is just help with filling form and changing terminals.

They are travelling for the first time to Toronto. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Thanks,

you did not indicate if you are transiting through the UK but i would assume since it's a BA flight, you are so you will need a direct airside UK transit visa. use the link below to confirm what you need.

You DO NOT need a transit visa to go Via UK if your in laws hold a valid USA/Canada visa and a confirmed onward ticket to Toronto within 24 hours. I am sure they meet these conditions so they should be fine.
This is from Personal Experience and also from the link below -

Please scroll down to see "more information" and read under " Travel without visa concession"

It clearly mentions what I just said - no transit visa if you are going to Canada with valid canada visa.
