Hi All,

I am in the process of collecting my documents as I have to send them in Janualry.

Please let me know if we have to send Original Transcripts. My University has denied to seal original TC. They have done that on Photostat copy with giving proper seal on Photostat and then sealed the same.

Should I send it or its mandatory to send Original.

Is there anyone who has sent Photostat Copy.

If photostated copies are properly sealed and placed in university sealed envolope they should serve the purpose.

Additionally to be on safer side, you can also send notarized copies of your marksheets and degree.

Yes that I would do. I woudl notarize all my Degrees and Marksheets.

My Transcript is in University Sealed Envelope. ALos on Photostat copy they have given University Seal and then sealed it.

I agree with Ankit

I have got the sealed envelopes for transcripts for me and my wife is same way, photostate copies attested and authanticated by university seal and then sealed in the university enveloped with a cover letter by the university people.

yes you should also send the notarized copies of same transcripts.

Pankaj

First of all it is not mandatory to send transcripts. If you have all original marksheets than make photocopy and attest them from Nortary. I have seen people getting Visas without transcripts.

It is enough. I hope this will help.

Thanks to all of u for valuable comments.

Trascripts are needed according to teh Delhi's Checklist. ANd luckily I am able to manage it.

Now I would submit teh photostat copy as provided by my University.

Thanks to all of u.

Please see the Canadian embassy response in India to requirement of transcripts. I think there is not debate that they are required but in some cases you can sail without them but not without more scrutiny and may be more time to process if VISA officer is not satisfied.

Universities in India are familiar with our requirements and have not, to date, refused to issue sealed transcripts. If you are unable to obtain sealed transcripts, you may submit notarized transcripts however, they will be subject to close scrutiny and the visa officer may still require sealed transcripts.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Thanks Ankit,

But this also does not clear if we can submit photostat copies of Transcripts.

Mine is photpstat in sealed envelope and I can not notarize it.

But it has University seal.

Meena, as I mentioned earlier your case should be good. I am no expert but I see no reason for you to be concerned. What you are doing I am sure lots of Indian applicants do the same including me.

I was just replying to malu 08 as he mentioned that transcripts were not required which supersedes the CIC information. It is true that people can sail through without transcripts but not as general rule. So I thought I should comment on that and clarify that CIC clearly states transcripts are required

Take a letter on their letterhead that they cannot issue a transcipt as already isssued at passing out. it will work out. i did the same
