Another question I have is about translating. We are in Mexico. I have had what I consider important documents translated professionally. Certificates like birth, wedding etc. also plane tickets, hotel reservations and rental contract. I have done the translations of e-mails as it would be WAY to expensive to have all the e-mails done professionally. Could this be a problem or should I just write a letter to the V.O. explaining that I did them and why?

As far as I know, most people have the official documents translated, and translate the emails etc. themselves.

I don't think I've heard about anyone who has had their emails officially translated, so I wouldn't worry about it! :)
