Hello guys,

Mostly we used native language while chatting, so I have started to translate it into english. But I am not sure the proper way of doing things. I have copied the fb messages in the word, where I have highlighted the chat in Native Language with yellow color and then translate it into english immediately after highlighted part and put the translated part in bracket. So do you think this way of translating is acceptable? The other thing is I have presented only the summary of chatting i.e. only of few days in a month to reduce the number of pages. Is that ok for CIC?

thank you.

Yes, I would think that just a sample of chat is good. They won't read it all anyway. I think that sounds ok for translating.
Even though it says things should be in English or French, I would think that just seeing that you keep in contact daily is good enough. I wouldn't waste my time translating much of the chat... Not to mention that it can be personal!

That is fine. At the start of the Word document you could explain the format (first is native, second is English).

Thank you guys for your valuable feedback and suggestions. We have been in fb chat for 3 months, so is it ok to select one week chats (any week) in every month, so that we will have three weeks chats in total to submit CIC??
Thank you.

Yes that is fine. Or just choose 2-3 days per month. You don't need to do an entire week. You can tell them that it is a small sample and if they want to see more, you have a lot more. I doubt they will ask for more.

tHANK YOU tink, i will follow your suggestions. It really helps me to keep the number of pages less.

No problem. Good luck putting your application together.
