Translation of documents - affidavit by translator

Hi Friends,

I am collecting my documents for full application and i have got my few documents transalated, Now the Instruction Guide says:

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and;
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the document.

Does anyone have got any affidavit from the transalator who transalated the documents?

Please advise if it is very important to get the affidavit also OR i can just get the transalated documents and certified notarized copies of the originals.

Hi,
I never submitted any any affidavit of translator.
I think there should be a declaration by the translator, which include his name, the language of the original document and a statement signed by him that the translation is accurate with his signature, seal and date.

Yes all specified by you (declaration. signature/seal language or original and translated) is done on the translated page, but CHC SINGAPORE is asking for an additional affidavit?

If the visa office insist for an affidavit you should submit it. Explain the reason to the translator and get an affidavit made for him. Contact your local Notary Public who will prepare the affidavit for him.

Guys,

CHC SINGAPORE specific instruction pdf says That Affidavit from the translator is required.

I have got all my documents notarized and translated from INDIA, As translator in INDIA is not aware of SINGAPORE specific rules, he is not ready to provide any affidavit. What should Do?

I have my 10th Marksheet, wife's 12th Marketsheet and a sports relatred certificate transalated from Punjabi To English.

What should I do, send full applications without the affidavit or find some other way?
