Whenever I visit my wife in Mexico, I leave from the Calgary airport, change planes in Phoenix, and then arrive in Mexico. On the way back, of course, I do this in reverse. After my application for my wife's PR has been submitted and approved, and she is able to come to Canada, I would like her to use the same airline and route of getting here that I use. With that being said, during the stop in Phoenix, will my wife need a US transit visa? Thanks.

Jim

If she is a Mexican citizen, then yes, she will need a transit visa. Having a Canadian visa will not exempt her from that. Might be easier to fly straight into Canada for landing purposes.
