I will be on a return cruise to Alaska, departing and returning from Seattle, USA. Our last port of call is Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I am South African. I have a valid US Visa. I do not plan on disembarking at Victoria. Do I still need a Canadian visa just because the ship will stop at the Victoria port?

You will need a visitor visa/TRV (and not a transit visa) if you are crossing on a cruise ship

Hi

1. It is immaterial whether you remain on the ship or not, as Bryanna says you will need a TRV. Note without the TRV it is extremely unlikely that the Cruise line will allow you to embark.
