Hey..

I'm planning to book a flight, but I need to know if I need a transit visa to go through London Heathrow? my layover time is only 1h 50m.
based on what I know that is barely enough to make it to the other flight in Heathrow..

can you please help if you know

I can't comment on the transit visa. However under 2 hours is a very tight transit time for Heathrow. I would try to increase that to 3 or 4 hours if you can.

2 hrs is quite tight... i agree with you.

i travelled once on british airways from dubai to toronto via heathrow, didnt need a transit visa (this was in 2012 however)

Yes I understand that, and I'm trying to find a longer flight to be in the safe side.

Thank you for the advice

Thank you.. I did travel exactly one year ago through Qatar Airways from Doha to Halifax via Heathrow too with a 7 hours layover and nothing was required.
Some people are saying that some rules has changed, so I'm not really sure..

Nope, if you have an onward flight to Canada/US/Aus/NZ and have a valid visa for the same, transit visa is not required for Indians

Don't know why there is so much confusion:

"Previous UK Transit Visa rules

Previously, travellers transiting the UK would have needed a Transit Visa except if they are travelling to the USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand and held a visa or valid residency permit for those countries.
What is the major change?

While those rules are still true, you are now allowed to transit via the UK to any destination if you hold any of those 4 visas I mentioned earlier."
