I was informed that my case for permanent residency has been transferred to Montreal. What should I expect? Do they do a couple interview? How long does it take to get an appointment?

I forget if I included the fee for PR, but I remember paying over $1000 when I sent in the application, it’s only myself on the application. Do I need to pay another $490? It’s been so long ago I don’t remember.

Thanks!

Congrats !
Now you're waiting for a landing letter from Montreal office. Typically they state there that you can come anytime during office hours, and typically the landing "interview" is just a formality and takes less than 15 mins.
For the fees, if you paid over 1000$ (it's 1040$) means that you already paid the PR fee, so look for the receipt and bring it with you for the landing appointment as a proof of payment.

So it reads that Montreal immigration will contact you to arrange an appointment. Do you have any idea how long that takes?

Honestly I don't have any idea on the delays for landing interviews in Montreal office specifically, but for all the offices delays may range between one week to 2 months depending on the load (Montreal is one of the busiest....).
May I ask when did you apply ?

We applied as an inland application in June 2017. Do you know if there is a couples interview? Or are they just looking to see that it is you who actually applied?

For most applicants this landing interview is just a formality (asking first date you entered Canada, asking the sponsor if he/she is willing to pursue sponsoring, etc...) and not a couples interview. But I don't know much about the specificity of your application.
