Transferring application to a new VO

My application is currently with the NDVO, can I request it to be transferred to a VO in the US? I am an MI-1 applicant, “In-process” from March 2012 and waiting for MR.

I recently came to the US and will be here for 1 or 2 years. Will NDVO entertain any request to transfer the application to another VO? Has anyone done this before?

No - you can't request a transfer. Your file will continue to be processed by NDVO.

CIC does not accept file transfer requests. However visa offices may decide to transfer files at any stage for reasons of program integrity. Further information is provided here under "file transfers":
