Hello All,

Is there a possibility to change from a Under Graduate course(2/3 years) to a Post Graduate course(1 year) within the same college after one semester.

There is a 1 year PG course which Seneca offers but requires that an International candidate be present in Canada to give their entrance tests. But this is not possible until you get a study permit to come to Canada for these tests. Upon asking on an alternative, they replied that the candidate can take a 2/3 years Under Graduate course of same type and then after one semester is completed can move to the PG course after giving the entrance tests and passing it.

Just want to know from you experienced guys, whether that is really feasible? And there will not be any issues while transferring as regards to 3 years Study Permit and then transferring to 1 year course.

Thanks.

IMHO, this is not a problem for CIC. What are you going to do 2 years in Canada after graduation? Go to another university? It is OK by now (who knows what they change in a year or two?). You can not work legally being only on SP. You need a WP or PGWP and by applying for that you " inform" CIC that you graduated, and your SP ends.
