Transcripts for ECA

Hi,

I requested my college to send me the transcripts so that i can forward it to WES. As per my college's procedure, I mailed them self attested photocopies of my transcript and semester marksheets for their verification. But in return, they did not issue me a fresh transcript. The registrar attested the copies of transcripts & marksheets that i sent to the college, and sent them back to me in a duly sealed envelope.

I wanted to know if I need fresh transcripts form my college or whether attested photocopies will serve the purpose of ECA from WES.

P.S. The photocopies also bear my self attestation.

I will really appreciate any advice from the members of this forum.

Hi Devasish,

Each university/college has its own methods and procedures on providing transcripts in sealed envelopes for WES evaluation.
It might be worth asking the registrar's office if they have processed requests for WES before, those guys usually know what they're doing.

In my wife's situation (for her univeristy) we did the same thing as described by you and we don't know what they put in the sealed envelope, but it worked out fine.

University doesn't issue transcripts in India, the college does. Wes will accept copies of marksheets that are attested and signed by the registrar. The documents have to be sent in an envelope that is sealed and has a stamp on the back flap. Universities in india don't send it to Wes directly. They give it to you to post to WES.

My Friend, WES only accepts transcripts issued by universities. WES does not accept college transcripts. Every University in India issues transcripts. We are 5 friends here and have got transcripts issued by our universities. All were having education from different universities.

Yes, but again marksheets are issued by university not college. Anyhow, In our case university issued the transcripts . No role of college.
