My wife has 12 years of education (Intermediate)Beautician and has 3 months Certificate of Beautician. Will this enable me to acquire 5 points for Adaptability factor??

Hi

A. Spouse or common-law partner's level of education
 Secondary school (high school) diploma or less: 0 points
 A one-year diploma, trade certificate, apprenticeship, or university degree and at least 12 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 3 points
 A diploma, trade certificate, apprenticeship, or university degree of two years or more and at least 14 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 4 points
 A Master‟s degree or PhD and at least 17 years of full-time or full-time equivalent studies: 5 points

No it wont to get 5 points see the red highlighted part, for 3 months certificate you will not get any points.

Cheers
Saki

If she did 12 years of education and then qualified as a Beautician through apprenticeship (must be one year), then she can claim 3 points under adaptability (see : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/Adaptability.asp second row after secondary school diploma or less) .....please note that the institution/organisation/company offering the apprenticeship would have to be one recognised and approved by the home government.
