Not the best time for working as a truck driver in CA now, especially if you're in US-CA transporting business. The inability of the canadian government to satisfy the trucker's demands seriously hurt the business. However, can't say anything like that about the landscaping industry, so you probably can find a good job as a tractor operator. I work for a small start-up company that owns used tractors purchased from Plant & Machinery as they provide wide range of tractors and attachments for a good price. And you know I don't notice much difference between the new and used tractors now.
