If one comes on a tourist visa, will that person get selected for a job,if he clears interviews and all. After clearing will he be able to get a work permit?? Please suggest

You need more than a job offer to obain a work permit. Your employer must also obtain an approved LMO (labour market opinion). As part of this process, the employer must advertise the job and prove they were unable to find a Canadian citizen or PR to hire for the role. Because this process takes time and there's no guarantee of approval, many employers are hesitant to consider foreign candidates for open positions.

So the short answer to your question is: You need a job offer and also an approved LMO to apply for a work permit. It is difficult to find employers who are willing to go through the LMO process - but you can certainly try.

Okk great...so does that mean say like jobs that are there on the internet can get an LMO easily?

I don't understand what you mean by "jobs on the internet".

Overall, getting an LMO is very difficult.

By jobs on the internet i mean, job positions that are advertised over the internet....u know the ones where they put hiring ads..those ones....

Thanks for clarifying.

It is very difficult to get LMOs for jobs posted on the internet. Most of these employers will not want to go through the LMO process.

Make sure you are looking for jobs on reputable sites such as monster.ca and the Canadian Job Bank. There are scam sites with fake job offers that will promise they can get an LMO, ask you for money and then give you nothing in return.

The only job that know of that regularly hires on websites in Live-in caregiver. That job has very strict standards.

If an employer wishes to hire a TFW they can usually find an employee already in Canada seeking a new LMO.

Go to www.kijiji.ca and search for "LMO." You will probably see more people seeking a new LMO (and already residing in Canada) than you will jobs. (Except live-in caregiver.) Never give them any money. Never.

If you qualify for live-in caregiver, I can give you advice as my sister-in-law was a nanny.

Also, the staffing agencies that ask for a fee then allow you to post on their boards are 99% of the time fraud. Don't waste your money on those. Especially if they claim there's no placement fees. Real staffing agencies charge placement fees.

Have you looked at IEC. If you're from a qualifying country, you could explore that option.
