I plan on coming to Canada on 15th of january. My tourist visa expires on march 1th. In the worst case scenario if the officer at the airport gives me until 1th of march to return. I will apply for the extension of the tourist visa, get an implied status while waiting. As a reason for that I will add the Solemnization of marriage. That will surely take time to get an answer, I will get my marriage certificate and finalize all the paperwork and prepare for sending it. I will also include an OWP application. I'm not sure if the marriage certificate will be delivered before my tourist visa so I don't know what to do. If I can apply for everything like that? Can I have an implied status again with the owp application regardless of the decision for the extension of my tourist visa. What should I do? How would it affect my process if I send my marriage certificate later on?
I'm leaving for my job on a cruise ship tomorrow. After that in January like I said I will arrive in Canada and try to do my application Inland.
This forum helped me a lot and it will in the future.
Thank you all.
See you on the flipside. 8)
EDIT:
If by any chance I get more time to stay it will all be solved pretty easy since although my tourist visa expired i got from the officer more time to stay. Let's hope for that.
