Hello!

Good afternoon.

We would like to ask why we are to required to take a Medical Exam even though we applied for a Tourist Visa (Not Supervisa), and will be staying in Canada, Ontario for 5 months (less than 6 months) and they won't be working. Mrs. S will attend the wedding of her niece and Mr. D will attend the wedding of her daughter. The niece/daughter is a permanent resident in Canada.

They are just asking because there was no explanation as to why this medical exam is needed.

Mrs. S is 70 years old. Mr. D is 69 years old.

Usually for older applicants, they would ask a medical exam.

Although in some countries 69/70 is not considered really old hence the question re which country they are applying from in case there are any medical restrictions not just age plus also maybe asking for a 5 month stay could also be a reason.
