Hi i am a daughter and im trying to apply to visit my parents in canada and i have some questions. what do i put in proof of means of financial support since my parents will be the one who will pay on all of my expenses? Im still a student and i dont have a job. What do i put on purpose of travel? which is better online application or paper application? thank you so much for the answers.

You can include the following:
1. A Letter of Financial Support from your parents stating they will pay for your airfare + expenses

2. Your bank statement (you must have some money for your personal expenses in your home country)

3. Your parents' bank statements

Im still a student and i dont have a job.

You must provide evidence as a student:
Admission proofs + tuition fees paid for the current/next academic year + leave approval letter from your school + proofs of any scheduled exams + mark sheets

What do i put on purpose of travel?

You can prepare a day-by-day itinerary listing tourist places that you'd like to visit + spend time with your family, etc. Do not state your purpose of visit as only wanting to visit your parents

which is better online application or paper application?

It's a matter of personal choice

Bryanna in the application then do we put purpose of visit as tourism or family visit from the drop down menu? If I am doing both with the family I will visit what is the correct way?

If you have a family member, in Canada, who will host you/has sent you an invitation letter.... then it's a 'Family Visit'

- its already in the letter of invitation. do i have to make a new letter for the financial support?

- im planning to visit after the school ends. it doesnt say anything about evidence as a student in my checklist. it just says Letter of employment on official company letterhead

The format of this Financial Support letter is different from an invitation letter. You can Google to find a suitable format.

Are you employed? Based on your previous post, I guess not.

As a student (with no finances of your own, both parents in Canada, you're young, no employment, etc)..... the only strong ties you can prove are your student ties.

3 months is way too long for a visit. You'll have to max your plans to 2-3 weeks when you apply.

Yes, it helps to show a well-planned itinerary like a typical tourist + to spend time with your parents

i am also kinda confused in the question "how are you related to your family member?" do i put parent/grandparent or child/grandchild?

1. Name: Your dad's name (as per his passport)
Relationship to me: My Father
Address:

2. Name: Your mom's name (as per her passport)
Relationship to me: My Mother

i dont have any money to show in my bank since i dont put my money in the bank. what should i do?
