Tourist visa for a minor

Hi everyone.

I wanted to know is it is a wise idea to apply for a tourist visa a minor. The minor is my nephew. His parents won’t come with him, however they will write a letter of travel for him. My mom ( my nephew’s grandmother) will be accompanying him in his travels and will be his sponsor as well. My mom has a super visa status. What do you think the likelihood of him being approved for the visa is?

Depends on how much his parents can show in cash to support themselves and any other family member. Show ties to return (school registration) and keep visit to 2 weeks.

So the parents has to show their finances even though the grandmother is financing the trip (grand mothers finances will be shown)? The school registration sounds like a good idea for ties to home country.

Grandmother can show funds but may not be considered. Child is not a dependant.
