Hello everyone,

I have invited my mother to visit Canada for my convocation and we applied for the same. We've got a request to appear for a medical exam. Neither, it is not in the list of requirements for applicants from my country (India), nor everyone is asked to give medicals.
What could this mean?

This is normal. Depending on where a person currently live or has lived, a medial is required:
