I applied for a tourist visa in 2020 and confirmed on the Canadian website that my biometrics from then are still valid for 10 years until 2030. But I applied for a new tourist visa recently and was asked to pay and schedule a biometrics appointment. I’ve tried filling web forms and even calling biometrics department but no one was able to resolve my issue. Only thing different I noticed was that they gave me a new UCI number, where as my past 3 applications all had the same UCI number. I believe this could be the reason but why did they not use my old UCI number. Is there anyone I can contact to expedite this process and possibly not have to give biometrics again.
