tourist to look for a job

Hi again everyone! don't know if this been already a topic. What if I travel to Canada as tourist then by chance got a job there and process my application. will it affect my application as fsw, will it be faster? Is there a good chance for a tourist to find even entry level job? your view anyone? any personal experience as well?

You will not be hired except as a underground cash job,you cannot get a work permit without leaving Canada if you are a tourist

as BCguy said you're not allowed to work on visitor visa. If you find a job, you cannot change into work visa while staying in canada. If you find an entry level job from skills in high demand list or something related to your application, that might help you. The new FSW process is going to be fast enough as CIC. Note that some things in life cannot get fast enough. If you live in the UK and your application is in Canada. You cannot post the documents faster than 3days, unless you wanna be postman yourself at both ends without taking breaks.

thanks guys, been hearing a lot of stories about this and they were succesfull. they look for a job there, apply in person, got a job offer, back home and apply for work visa and process application of fsw at faster rate. Is it possible? Hope that the new processing time will truly be faster as what they claimed 6 -12months considering the 9 months backlog. patience,patience

You can go as a tourist and check out the job market for sure. Start your job hunt online, line up some interviews before you go.

If you get a job, the employer has to apply for a labour market opinion (LMO) which can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on if it's expedited, how busy they are and also a bit of luck. If you were lucky and got it fast, if you are from a visa exempt country, you can take your LMO to the border and apply for your work permit there.

thanks again leon, its does make sense i guessed. anyone got same personal experience or know someone to share. I'd like to try my luck with this since I'm visiting a relative in canada after the cold season.
