TOKYO VISA OFFICE TIMELINE

Hello,

Can people who had their PR processed by Tokyo visa office, share that experience.

Mine is going to be processed in Tokyo, so any info is welcome.

For Family class, the Tokyo office takes about 6 months.
This is information from my friend who applied in this class last year.

Here is our Timeline for anyone interested. We are applying under the Conjugal Relationship Application and my partner is Brazilian living in Japan.

Oct 19, 2009 - Made payment to CIC through internet.
Oct 20, 2009 - Sent off application via Xpress Post.
Oct 21, 2009 - Xpress Post Tracking confirmed application received at CIC Mississauga.
Nov 9, 2009 - ECAS updated to 'Decision Made'.
Nov 16, 2009 - Received letter of Sponsorship Approval and that application was sent off to Tokyo Visa Office.
Nov 23, 2009 - ECAS updated to 'In Process'. PR application was in process on Nov 20.
Dec 22, 2009 - My partner received email requesting interview at Tokyo office on Jan 8, 2010. Requested to bring Passports, Birth Certificates (both hers and her sons), Police Certificate (the current one expired during processing) and a filled out copy of IMM 5604.
Dec 24, 2009 - My partner received letter in the mail with IMM 5604 to be filled out.
Jan 8, 2010 - Had the interview and now waiting.
Jan 25, 2010 - ECAS updated to 'Decision Made'. Medicals received.
Jan 29, 2010 - Received passports. PR application approved!

Thanks for the time line. Looks you were one of the lucky ones whose Application was processed really quickly. Hope i have the same experience when my application gets to Tokyo Embassy.

Hi,

my app is going to Tokyo after Quebec part finish.

Here is my timeline so far...


Jan 13th CPC-M received my applications.

Mar 9th Decition Made(can check by E-cas and they sent a letter the day)
Application transfered to Quebec.



I have the Quebec part, so it may takes more time

My app was satyed at CPC-M pretty long time!

We received letter from CIC today,and they told us that they sent it to Tokyo.

We just filled peper for Quebec and sent with a copy of this CIC letter

Hope things going smooth!

and today on E-CAS, they says it

It is me(sponsored person)

Currently I am in Canada with my husband and waiting together.

They sent me a letter and labels.

I have just sent it by Fedex!

my situation is similar, i am in canada and have my mailing address set to canada for my wifes address, do you know approximately how long it took the letter to reach from Tokyo embassy to your Canadian address ?

Also is this same updated on ecas site ?

On e-cas, it still says "In process". There is nothing except "We started processing ---------on March 17th."

They sent me the letter on April 29th and I received it today,May 5th,so about a week.
(It is a regular mail BTW)

After the quebec part was done on March 31, it's about 5weeks to receive this letter^^

March 17th---In process

March 31st---Received CSQ(MICC noticed about it to CIC)

April 29th---Tokyo embassy sent me a Passport request by letter

May 5th---Sent my passport to Tokyo embassy(By Fedex)

May 9th---The embassy received my passport!

I don't know how long does it takes to send back to me, but hopefully not too long
