Hi there,
I have done some reading on here so I think I know what I'm talking about...but I want to be sure.
My husband (UK citizen, but recently received his PR visa) is going to fly to Toronto soon to land before his medical expires. We don't intend to actually move to Canada until April 2010. Can someone confirm for that he needs to take with him to Toronto the following things:
- Passport with affixed visa
- COPR
- a listing of items he is bringing with him into country - declared value etc.
- the address of where the PR card should be sent (e.g. my parents' in British Columbia)
Is all the above correct?
Regarding the listing - he's only there for two days. Does he need to list '2 x underwear, 2 x socks'?!
Should he tell them he will be moving permanently in a few months, but that this trip is just for landing purposes?
Final question - can I confirm that he does not in fact need me with him to do this?
Thank you!!
ludnan
