To sponsor a spouse? x

I just want to know if it is a requirement to have your own apartment when you do sponsor? Or if you are able to split rent with somebody else, & still be able to provide your sponsor financially.

Dont need own place, but most importantly is to show how you will support your spouse without either of you requiring government assistance.

An apartment/house where you are on a lease and making regular rent payments will be one way you can convince CIC that you have a stable place to live where you pay rent regularly. Even if you are living with family setting up a lease payment records would be helpful.
