Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew if there will be any issue if I go to do my flagpole at Niagara on an implies status?

I was on extended status as a visitor which expired on April 30th and I re-applied before that. So as of right now I am on implied status and also do not have a US visa. Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks!

there won't be an issue. To become PR you must "seek entrance" to Canada from a foreign country. this means implied status or not you must exit Canada. and re-enter with your valid PR visa that will be stamped on your passport and your COPR that's it. if you don't have a US visa there is nothing to worry about here, you need to go to the US side and get an adminitrative refusal. Just say to the us guy that you came because you need to exit Canada and that you do not have a usa visa, he will give you your refusal paper, go back and show it to the canadian immigration officer. Once you are finished with this tough business visit the city, enjoy Niagara falls, there is a casino right there at the border, spend some toonies to play...you will feel lucky!! lol

and by the way flagpole at Niagara rainbow bridge is very easy. and you can do it as a pedestrian. I already posted about my experience regarding that. so crossing the bridge with your car is somehow useless as you save time just by walking.

Thanks for the quick reply rosty! I did read your post on flagpoling and it was very helpful. I wasn't sure about the implied status part but do feel better about it now.

I Just don't want to be surprised or shocked once there lol. Well hopefully mine goes as smoothly as yours did :) Planning to walk it as well, when else will it be possible to take some pics from the middle of that bridge on foot? :P Ofcourse it also seems much simpler to do :P

Thanks again!

ssparkles , If do not have US visa then , why don't you go to Fort Erie man, you do not need to cross the border and and come back to Canada, it's just a U trun before the peace bridge. You have sign board there to say " Return to Canada".

Hope that helps.

Hi SSparkles,

I read your post on Saudi police clearance certificate. Just wanted to check whether you requested the police clearance from Saudi after you recieved a request letter from CIC or before that. Can you please share your email ID to get connected on this thanks
