Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
i have asked the admissions officer that if i apply for transfer credits, will the tuition fee of that semester will decrease, she said no.

the only thing will happen is the subject will be credited, but the tuition fee remains the same of that semester.

bec she said the tuition fee here is not by subject, but by semester.

so.. should i apply for transfer credits?

If I'm to decide on this, yes, I'd take the subjects than apply for transfer credits. Simply because you're paying for it whether you're taking it or not. This is also a good opportunity to learn more. :)

Definitely apply for transfer credit. If you get enough of it and fill up your semesters with courses that you haven't gotten transfer credit for, you might be able to graduate a semester or two earlier and save on tuition fees that way.

Well I am bit surprised to hear that. For example, if one has completed b.com in India and is pursuing diploma in accounting here and diploma subject say financial accounting and cost accounting has been already covered in B.com (only condition to seek exemption is one must have scored 60% plus marks) and contacts CGA and within two days you get exemption. Submit the exemption letter with your college and you don't have to pay fee for those subjects. This has been practically done by couple of people and worked (Humber College, and yes fee in Humber is also semester wise - it's semester wise for all full time students and credit wise for part time students).

Which college you are from?

its centennial college, should i talk to another admissions officer to know what he thinks about this?

Perhaps check with Aman Singh, a user on this forum. I guess he is from Centennial college and is now associated with International Student Council of Centennial. Perhaps he can give you speedy answer.

my suggestion is u take the courses...u are in canada to study dont opt out of it ...saving tution can be a good incentive but i still feel that canadian courses r different and they will teach u skills that r used in canada as opposed to the skilled learned in ur home country. choice is urs

Hi,

Just filled the credit transfer form from student hub.
They only credit transfer course in which you scored more than 60% marks.
And definitely you can complete the program faster and save some bucks.
But if your program is of 2 years. They will issue you a 2 years graduation certificate.
Which will help you to acquire 3 years PGWP.

Good Luck.

but they said no money will be deducted, true or not?
