Hello,

I have applied under the pnp and my application in the process of reviewing. I have a very specific question so was wondering if any of you could give some suggestions and/or answer my question.

I have applied for the pnp using my current passport. I lived and studied in another country and qualified as a highly qualified person so can apply for that country's passport and become a citizenship.

If I apply for the second citizenship of that country does the CIC or PNP will revoke/annul my application. I qualified as a highly qualified person.

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Re: To apply for another country's citizenship/passport while waiting for AINP/PNP

Personal view that doesnt answer your question but if I were the visa officer processing your application I might be asking myself if you were really serious about emigrating to Canada when whilst the application was processing you were applying for citizenship of another country in addition to your existing citizenship.

There are no rules about holding dual citizenship as long as declared just in your case timing seems odd so is there any rush to claim this additional citizenship ? Cannot you at least wait until your application has progressed significantly at least to secure a nomination and then apply for this additional citizenship ?
