So the jobs are there. That's nice! I sell stuff online comes out to $7 per hour if i worked 40 hour a week! So any job I might get will be higher anyways. lol.

So u have to think of investment though.
one thing about canada is that if you are above the minimum wage at the end of the year you will have to pay the govmnt... I have no interest about tax free savings account or rrsp that offers by most of the banks before .... when i started working at the bank I have realized most canadians 2 to 3 different account and investments.... then i have learned that those investments will be deducted to you annual income at the end of the year which makes more sense....
I make money online another way also. I am not worried about a 10.25 an hour job, just to pay bills the rest I make online is all profits anyways.
