Timelines for spousal sponsorship inland application?

My husband and I have had many frustrations with the permanent residency application process. Most of our frustration happened long before we sent in our application. It took us a year to get together all the necessary documents! Our application was received September 21st 2016. We received AOR November 1st 2016. I know that much time hasn't passed, but I'm wondering why its taking so long for them to at least start processing my application. So I wanted to hear others experiences to get an idea of a timeline. I find it frustrating that its 26 months of processing, and we've waited 3 months and they haven't even put it into processing. Any info would be amazing! Thanks guys!

Six months of processing time is normal. Call up the customer care if you think it's taking longer

it can and will probably take longer than 6 months before they start processing - that is a normal part of the inland process. many people do not get AORs or any notification for quite some time. go to the thread I linked about and ask there. there is a spreadsheet that tracks this stuff...
